Dive Lake Malawi


The majority of recreational scuba diving is done in the tropical regions of the earth’s oceans. There are, however, fantastic freshwater dive destinations all around the globe. Lake Malawi is the earth’s 8th biggest freshwater lake, and is an amazing and unique dive destination.

Dive Lake Malawi Adventure – 7 nights / 8 days / 10 dives


Day 1 – The Arrival:

You arrive at Kamuzu Airport in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Lake Malawi is then reached by light aircraft transfer to Monkey Bay. From Monkey Bay it is an hour land transfer to Cape Maclear and Danforth Lodge.

7 nights stay at Danforth Lodge, including full board. Upon arrival at Danforth Lodge, you will be greeted by the friendly staff and escorted to your rooms, which look directly onto Lake Malawi. This is your dive playground for the next week!


Day 2 to Day 7 – 6 full scuba diving days:

Enjoy 2 scuba dives a day, either both in the morning, or one in the morning and one in the afternoon. If you have never dived in freshwater before, then be prepared for one of the world’s top freshwater dive destinations. It is often possible to do a third dive a day, and night dives are also a possibility, and are highly recommended!

There is plenty of time to participate in any of the other activities on offer at Danforth Lodge, such as a variety of water sports, mountain biking, hiking and yacht excursions on the lake.


Day 8 – The return journey:

This is the last day and we hope you had an amazing freshwater diving experience. Today you take a return transfer to Monkey Bay for connecting air transfer to Kamuzu Airport, Lilongwe. Our service ends here; we hope to see you again!

– Your E-ticket for the regional flight Johannesburg (JNB) to Kamuzu (LLW) will be sent to you beforehand.
