Diving Vamizi Island
Vamizi Island forms part of the Quirimbas Archipelago in northern Mozambique. Vamizi Island is the epitome of a barefoot island destination, with long stretches of crisp white sand and turquoise ocean. The reefs around the island are home to some of the healthiest and most pristine reef systems in the world. Vamizi Island also boasts a dive site known as Neptune’s Arm, which regularly features in listings of the top ten dive sites in the world.
Diving Vamizi Island – 7 nights / 8 days
Day 1 – The Arrival:
You arrive at Oliver Tambo International airport in Johannesburg.
The regional flight from JNB to POL takes just under 3 hours.
From Pemba airport, it is a 1 hour flight to Vamizi Island and a 40 minute land transfer until you touch down at the lodge and rid yourself of unnecessary items such as your shoes!
7 nights stay at Vamizi Island Lodge, including full board
Day 2 to Day 7:
With calm ocean conditions and beautiful sheer drop-off dives to deep coral walls, divers will have 6 full days to explore the brilliant coral reefs in the area. Be sure to ask about Neptune’s Arm, recognised as one of the top 10 dives in the world!
This is the last and final day of the Diving Vamizi Island journey, and we hope you had an amazing experience on Vamizi Island. Return transfer to Pemba Airport, followed by return flight to OR Tambo Int. airport in Johannesburg. Our service ends here; we hope to see you again!
