A safari to this area is to go where few have travelled.  It is not a safari for first-timers only interested in seeing the Big 5. Lugenda Wilderness Camp provides visitors with a truly unique safari experience that is rare to find on safari today.

Lugenda Wilderness Camp Location

Lugenda Wilderness Camp is located in the far northern province of Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. It is easiest to access via Pemba and the flight takes roughly one and a half hours.

Accommodation is provided in 8 luxury tents, each with its own patio deck with wide-angle views. Each tent has a solid substructure and offers every modern comfort from king-size beds to en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower, double basins, ceiling fans, personal safes and hairdryer. The elegant timber and thatched guest area is at the heart of the camp and is a shady refuge from the African Sun, as is the swimming pool.

Lugenda Wilderness Camp falls under the Rani Resort umbrella, which maintains high quality standards of service across all of their resorts.

Food & beverage

The food at Lugenda Wilderness Camp is fresh and delicious. Leisurely breakfasts and lunches are taken in the living area overlooking the Lugenda river-bed. At night you join the other guests for a charming river-bed or boma dinner, while taking in the African night sounds and smells and gazing at the breathtaking Mozambique night sky.
